This bar is everything I love about traditional soap-making — no added color, no fragrance, no distractions. Just the essentials your skin actually needs. It’s the bar that reminds me of why I started Brushwood Corners in the first place: creating honest products that care for your skin and soul, without all the extras.

The Story Behind “Pure”

The Pure Soap Bar came from a simple idea — to create something that could be used by everyone in the family, even the most sensitive skin. When I first poured this batch, the scent in the room wasn’t from fragrance oils — it was the natural, clean scent of tallow and goat’s milk mingling as the mixture cooled.

It’s the kind of soap that makes you pause — it’s soft in color, creamy in texture, and leaves your hands feeling nourished rather than stripped. Sometimes, the best things really do come without fanfare.

Ingredients that Speak for Themselves

As with all Brushwood Corners bars, the base stays true to my core recipe:

Ingredients:

Tallow, Goat’s Milk, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lye, Castor Oil, Sodium Lactate

Each ingredient plays its part — the tallow provides a rich, creamy lather; goat’s milk softens and soothes; olive oil brings moisture; and coconut oil adds a gentle cleansing balance.

There’s no fragrance, no mica, no clay — just pure, nourishing simplicity.
