Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Brushwood Corners LLC. Each of our products is handcrafted in small batches in Wakeman, Ohio, with great care and attention to detail. Because our items are natural, handmade, and made to order, certain limitations apply to returns and refunds. This policy outlines when and how refunds, exchanges, and replacements may be issued.

By completing a purchase through www.brushwoodcornersllc.com or www.brushwoodcornersllc.net, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.

1. All Sales Are Final

Due to the personal and hygienic nature of bath, body, and skincare products, all sales are final once an order is placed.

We cannot accept returns or exchanges on:

  • Soap bars, lotion bars, body butters, or any skincare products,

  • Custom or special-order items,

  • Sale or clearance items, or

  • Digital products, downloads, or gift certificates (if applicable).

We do this to ensure the safety and integrity of our products for all customers.

2. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, we are happy to make it right. Please contact us within 7 calendar days of delivery with the following information:

  • Your full name and order number,

  • A clear photo of the product and packaging (including shipping label), and

  • A brief description of the issue.

Email your claim to info@brushwoodcornersllc.com with the subject line “Damaged Order – [Order Number]”.

After reviewing your claim, we will determine whether the issue qualifies for:

  • A replacement item (same product if available),

  • A store credit, or

  • A refund to your original payment method.

Replacements and refunds are issued at our discretion, based on the evidence provided. We may request that you return or safely dispose of the damaged product before replacement.

3. Incorrect or Missing Items

If your order contains the wrong item(s), or something is missing, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. We will verify the error and promptly ship any missing or corrected items at no additional cost to you.

We may request photos of the received products to confirm the mistake before reshipment.

4. Pre-Orders and Curing Periods

Some Brushwood Corners soaps are made fresh and require a curing period of 4–6 weeks before shipment.
If your order includes pre-order or curing items, the estimated ship date will be listed in the product description and checkout confirmation.

Pre-order payments are final once processing has begun. However, if we are unable to fulfill your order within a reasonable time frame (e.g., due to ingredient supply issues or production delays beyond eight weeks), we may offer:

  • An updated delivery date,

  • A product substitution of equal value, or

  • A refund upon your request.

5. Shipping Damage or Lost Packages

Once your order leaves our studio and is handed to the carrier, we are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by the postal service or weather,

  • Lost or stolen packages, or

  • Incorrect addresses provided at checkout.

If your tracking information shows your order as delivered but you haven’t received it, please contact your local post office first.
We will assist where possible, but refunds cannot be issued for items marked “delivered” by the carrier.

Tip: We recommend selecting shipping options that include tracking and/or insurance for added protection.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days after approval.
Please note:

  • It may take additional time for your bank or payment processor to post the refund to your account.

  • Refunds will not include shipping costs unless the error was ours.

  • Store credits (if issued) do not expire and can be used toward any future purchase.

7. Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled within 12 hours of placement, provided production or shipment has not begun.
After that window, materials are already allocated and the order cannot be canceled.

If you need to request a cancellation, contact us immediately at info@brushwoodcornersllc.com with your order number and reason for cancellation.
Approval is not guaranteed and will depend on your order status at the time of your request.

8. Custom Orders

All custom or bulk orders are final sale and non-refundable. This includes any product personalized for weddings, gifts, or private labeling.

If a custom order arrives damaged or incorrect, we will review it on a case-by-case basis and offer an appropriate solution.

9. Exchanges

We do not offer traditional exchanges due to product safety regulations. However, if your item is defective, incorrect, or damaged, a replacement may be provided as outlined in Section 2.

10. Gift Returns

If you received a Brushwood Corners product as a gift and it arrived damaged, we will gladly issue a replacement or store credit to you directly (the gift recipient).
Proof of purchase or order number is required for verification.

11. Allergy & Sensitivity Disclaimer

Our soaps and skincare products contain natural oils, butters, clays, milks, essential oils, and botanicals that may trigger sensitivities in some individuals.
All ingredient lists are clearly provided on each product label and website listing.

Customers are responsible for reading all ingredients before use.
We cannot issue refunds or accept returns for allergic reactions, skin irritation, or sensitivities.

Always perform a patch test before first use, especially if you have known allergies or sensitive skin.

12. Policy Updates

We may revise this Refund Policy periodically to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last Updated” date.
Continued purchases after policy updates imply acceptance of the revised terms.
